Purchased by schools around the country, "This Is My Story . . . and Im Sticking To It!" helps pre-schoolers learn to read! With a sticker like interface This is My Story helps kids create their own personal stories over and over again.
With bold colors and charming graphics, children are able to make their own silly stories anyway they like. While engaged in having fun, they are learning words, sentences and before they know it - they are READERS!!! Older kids will find "This Is My Story . . . and Im Sticking To It!" a fun activity! Kids will be able to create 100s of combinations to make stories uniquely their own. Early readers will learn nouns, actions words, simple sentence structure, word recognition, and matching. Cute voice overs and sound effects make the app even more fun for kids!
In the Make a Story game play, Kids slide "stickers" with graphics and words into place on pages with action words already in place, completing a sentence however they like! After all the "stickers" are in place, the story is read back to the child. In the Match a Story game play, kids will find the sticker that matches the silhouette on the page to complete the sentence. Read A Story game play will read back stories already created by the child. In Sticker Page Fun game play, the child is provided a background and then will be able to place stickers where ever they would like on the page.

Just downloaded this app (original iPad, iOS 5) and the game is broken. The "write your own story" mode doesnt provide connector words, so the only function it allows is to pick and repick the first item/character. Fix the bug and ill give it a better review, or give me my dollar back.
Great idea, but app doesnt work. There seem to be several bugs.
Has too many bugs that need fixing. Had to "hide" it on my iPhone bc my kid wants to play /w it but when he does it upsets him bc it doesnt work properly. Biggest waste of a buck. Fix it & Ill give it another review. Cant BELIEVE this was recommended by a parenting magazine when there are so many bugs.
Heard about this app in a parenting magazine. Love the idea and the look, but the app could be developed more to include more variations for stories. Currently, users only can choose the nouns, no verbs. This app interests my 5 yr old for a few minutes, but its limited capability in story generation is disappointing. Maybe with more time it will improve? Hope so, especially because I paid $ for it.
This was really disappointing! The "stories" are made by filling in the blanks, but they dont make sense at ALL (not even as a silly story). Not good!
